Homestead Community Health Center in Miami Dade county, Florida provides high quality, comprehensive, primary and preventive medical, and behavioral health care services and education in an environment of caring, respect and dignity. Our goal is to be responsive to the needs of the communities it serves, but with continued emphasis on the under-served and those without access to care, regardless of race, economic status, age, sex, sexual orientation, or disability. Homestead Community Health Center serves patients in the residential and commercial Miami Dade / Homestead area.

Dr. Rosendo I. Collazo, DO

Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Collazo is an internal medicine specialist with over 34 years of experience.

Dr. Collazo received his medical degree from Nova Southeastern University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital and served as Chief Medical Resident in the department of medicine’s clinical faculty. His specific interests include chronic disease management of diabetes and cardiovascular diseases.

Dr. Collazo holds a medical license in the state of Florida. Dr. Collazo received the Blue Foundation Sapphire Award for excellence in healthcare for the underserved, the Health Choice Network Jessie Trice Hero Award, the Outstanding Service Local Hero Award from the Healthcare for the Homeless Clinicians Network and was a finalist for the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce’s Health Care Heroes Award.
